The Vacuum Generator VM・VC (-S3 Spec.) is an ejector designed to be mounted directly onto a vacuum pad holder. It creates a vacuum using compressed air, enabling the reliable pickup and transfer of workpieces when used in conjunction with vacuum pads. This makes it an essential component for automated handling systems where precise and consistent material movement is required.
The main resin components are manufactured from PBT (polybutylene terephthalate), a standard engineering plastic well-suited for general industrial environments. The primary metal parts are constructed from brass, with a surface finish of electroless nickel plating to enhance durability and corrosion resistance. The seal rubber is made from NBR (nitrile butadiene rubber), which provides effective sealing under typical operating conditions, though it has limited ozone resistance.
The vacuum generator features multiple connection options for compatibility with various systems. It includes metric male threads M5x0.8 and M6x1, taper male threads R1/8, R1/4, and R3/8, as well as NPT male threads NPT1/8, NPT1/4, and NPT3/8. These interfaces allow flexible integration into different vacuum systems or equipment setups.
The unit operates with air as the fluid medium, functioning within an operating pressure range of 0.15 to 0.7 MPa. The rated supply pressure is 0.5 MPa for H and L types, and 0.35 MPa for E type. It can operate continuously across a temperature range of 0°C to 60°C, with no freezing allowed. No copper-based metallic materials are used in the flow path, ensuring compatibility with certain chemical or environmental conditions.
Available in multiple metric sizes: φ3, φ4, φ6, φ8, φ10 and φ8, φ12. In inch sizes, it is offered as φ1/4", φ5/16", and φ3/8". These size variations allow selection based on the specific application requirements and available mounting or connection points.
The vacuum generator is designed for direct integration with vacuum pad holders via its mounting interface. It connects to compressed air supply lines using standard threaded fittings, including M5x0.8, M6x1, R1/8, R1/4, R3/8, NPT1/8, NPT1/4, and NPT3/8 threads. Installation requires alignment with the vacuum pad holder to ensure stable mounting and optimal performance.
